CLASS INFO:

The "Elemental Dance Adventure"Kids Package is a 14 week comprehensive dance program designed specifically for our youth. It includes a fully curated dance journey using the elements and focusing on a unique aspect of dance: 

 

Earth - Fun Foundations: Here, we introduce the fundamental elements of dance in a fun, interactive, and engaging way.

Wind - Creative Flow: This encourages creativity and individual expression through freestyle dance.

Water - Emotional Expression: We will focus on movements that express emotion, helping kids connect with their bodies and emotions.

Fire - Storytelling through Dance: Here, we will focus on the creation and execution of simple choreography, with an emphasis on storytelling.

All classes at Danzversity are interactive rather than purely instructional. Through creative flow, emotional expression, and storytelling, we inspire the children to explore their creative movement freedom to help them instill confidence, courage, teamwork, and self- love.

Join our winter festivities at Danzversity!

 

As we head into the winter celebrations, we are excited to celebrate with you and your family.

Join us for some fun cozy vibes as we move into the winter holidays.

 

Hot cocoa and winter treats will be provided.

Cozy socks are encouraged.

 

Sample Schedule:

 

9:00 - 9:30 Question of the day: 

 

9:40 - 10:00 Together, we will make a list of different movement ideas we can explore for the day.

 

10:00 - 10:10  Pass the movement circle -  Dance to different sounds, different music genres from around the world.

 

10:10 - 10:30  Teambuilding Game/Activity

 

10:30 - 10:40 Snack break (bring two - three snacks for the day and a filled water bottle)

 

10:40 - 11:00 Youtube inspiration, we will take a tour of different dances, dancers and movement artists from around the world

 

11- 11:20 Pair up! Ex: Get in partners and talk about what they learned or found interesting from the different movement videos

 

11:20 - 11:30 Freeze Dance to music from different cultures and sounds.

 

11:30 - 12:00 Group Activity: Example - Play movement memory sentence game. Each person creates 4 moves and then adds on, always going back to the beginning until a dance is created. Try the dance to different songs. 

 

12:00 - 12:50  LUNCH (bring a packed lunch, refrigerator available, no microwave)

 

1:00 - 2:30 Crafts and Art Stations

 

 2:30 Freestyle circle applying our move explorations of the day

 

2:30 - 3:00 Freestyle Circle, Conversations - snack and end of class reflections

 

3:00 pm - Pick up - SEE YOU SOON!
