Danzversity LLC (“Danzversity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or register for our programs.

Information We Collect

• Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Payment Information: Billing processed securely via Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers
• Student Information: Age, skill level, class preferences, medical notes relevant to participation
• Communications: Messages sent to us via email or contact forms
• Auto-collected: Pages visited, time spent on site, navigation patterns
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers
• Cookies: Used for site functionality and analytics

How We Use Your Information

• Process registrations and payments for classes, camps, and events
• Communicate with you about your enrollment, schedule changes, and upcoming events
• Send marketing emails and, with your separate opt-in consent, SMS text messages (you can opt out of either at any time)
• Improve our website and programs
• Comply with legal obligations

The Movement Log (Optional Wearable Connection)

If you choose to connect a wearable device (currently Google Fit; Fitbit and Apple Health coming later) to The Movement Log in your portal account, we will:

• Read only: daily step counts and active minutes. We do not request or store location, heart rate, body composition, sleep, or any health data beyond movement totals.
• Encrypt access tokens at rest using AES-256-GCM. Tokens never leave our Cloudflare infrastructure.
• Store daily totals per day for the duration of your connection — used to power your Movement Log streak counter, weekly summary, and Movement Log badges.
• Never share this data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics services. Movement data is used only to render your Movement Log inside your portal account.
• Delete everything on disconnect: when you click "Disconnect Wearable" in your portal, we wipe all stored access tokens, all per-day movement records, and all earned Movement Log badges in the same request. Disconnection is immediate and complete.

Movement Log badges (e.g., "Week in the Lab," "Hundred Hours on the Floor") are separate from curriculum certification credits and do not affect your standing in any Danzversity program.

SMS Text Messages (Optional)

If you opt in by checking the SMS consent box on a registration form or the free-trial sign-up — a separate, optional choice that is never required to register or pay — you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Danzversity at the phone number you provide. These may include class reminders, schedule updates, and occasional news or promotions.

• Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
• Opt out anytime by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help.
• Consent is not a condition of registration, enrollment, or purchase.
• We never sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing. SMS delivery is handled by our messaging provider solely to send our messages to you.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Registration records are retained for a minimum of three years.

• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Children’s Privacy

We collect information about minors only in connection with enrollment in our youth programs, and only from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 directly.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.
