KIDS DANCE CLASSES

This is the age where kids start connecting movement to music on purpose. They begin to count beats, hear musical layers, and translate what they hear into how they move. Every Flow Finders class at our Austin studio (7531 Burnet Rd, in the Crestview / North Austin area) builds that connection through age-appropriate hip hop choreography, group games, and short freestyle moments where kids get to express themselves.

The class is built on the Elemental Dance Method™ — Danzversity's proprietary curriculum that breaks hip hop down into four elements (Earth, Air, Water, Fire). Like every Danzversity group, Flow Finders works through all four at an age-appropriate pace — starting with Earth foundations: groove, rhythm, body awareness, and the basics of the culture. Kids learn that dance isn't just memorizing steps — it's about how you move, and how you make it your own.

Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 to 4:45 PM. Most families come twice a week ($150/month), but once-weekly is fine too ($100/month) — both are flexible month-to-month subscriptions. The Tue/Thu schedule was chosen specifically so it works around school pickup, and the short hour keeps young attention spans engaged without overwhelming them. Parents stay in the lobby; kids work in their own room with their own crew.

Culture, not competition. What separates Danzversity from a generic kids dance studio is that we teach hip hop as the cultural movement it actually is — born in the Bronx in 1973, carried by communities of color, built around the values of self-expression, respect, and finding your own voice. Even at age 5, kids learn that hip hop is something they're part of, not just something they're performing.
