What’s on
WEEKLY CLASS SCHEDULE →The Collective is the open side of Danzversity: the nights the room opens wider than it does for anything else we do. Some of it is free, some of it is ticketed, and all of it is Hip Hop culture first. Members, families, first-timers and visitors share the same floor — and Method members get discounts on every workshop and masterclass.
The doors
Austin’s free monthly Hip Hop community night — cyphers, live music, guest artists, ASL interpreted. Families, adults, teens, visitors: everyone.
SEE DATES →Parents and kids on the same floor, learning the same moves. No drop-off, no spectator section.
SEE DATES →Every youth crew on stage at the end of each term. $5 at the door, families, friends and the whole studio in the room.
THIS SEASON →Mon–Fri Hip Hop camps for kids, 9 AM–3 PM, ending with a Friday showcase for families. Winter, spring break and summer.
CAMP DATES →Guest instructors and deep-dive styles — Afro, choreography, masterclasses with touring artists. Member discounts apply.
SEE WORKSHOPS →Friendly cyphers and battles in the original Hip Hop tradition. Expression and craft, not trophies.
SEE BATTLES →A date-night Hip Hop class. No experience required — just each other and a willingness to vibe.

What is The Collective at Danzversity?
The Collective is everything that happens at Danzversity beyond the weekly class schedule: (You)nity Nights (free, monthly), Family Classes, Couples Classes, Dance Camps on school breaks, Workshops and masterclasses with guest artists, Dance Battles, and the youth showcases. All of it is Hip Hop and street dance culture first.
Who can attend Collective events?
Everyone. Each event says who it is for right on the card — kids, teens, adults, families, or all ages — and whether it is free. (You)nity Nights, Family Classes and the showcases are open to anyone in Austin, whether you have ever danced before or not.
Do I need to be a Danzversity member to come?
No. Most people walk into Danzversity for the first time through a Collective event. If you are a member, this is your calendar too: Method members get discounts on workshops and masterclasses, and (You)nity Nights are the cypher-track night for adults.
How do I find out when events are happening?
This page lists every upcoming event live from our calendar; filter by who you are. New dates drop here first, then in the monthly newsletter and on @danzversity on Instagram.
Are Collective events free or paid?
Mixed, and every card says which. (You)nity Nights are always free, funded by the City of Austin ELEVATE grant. Family Classes and showcases start at $5, workshops run $15–$30, and camps are priced by the week or the day. Battles are free or low-cost to watch.
Never danced? Your first class is free.
The Collective is the open door. The weekly classes are where it goes deeper — kids from 2, adults 18+, any level, culture over competition.
